- Tony Cottee and Matt Elliott will assess the triumph at 6pm BST on Monday’s Extra-Time show
Ricardo Pereira put the Foxes in front with 16 minutes gone, before Isaac Hayden was dismissed with minutes to go until the break, following a late challenge on Praet.
Jamie Vardy’s effort doubled City’s advantage at the interval, before Praet played a hand in his side’s third goal of the afternoon, as his deflected cross was turned into the back of his own net by Paul Dummett.
Maintaining their pressure, the hosts saw Vardy bag his second of the afternoon, then Wilfred Ndidi completed the scoring on Filbert Way.
Praet Thrilled With Scoreline
Dennis Praet talks to LCFC TV after his side's 5-0 victory over Newcastle United in the Premier League...
“I think we played a good game,” Praet told LCFC TV. “In the first half, we created some chances and we could have done better.
“But in the second half, against 10 men, we pressed them high and we created a lot of chances. At the end, it’s 5-0, so we are all very happy.”
Praet replaced the injured James Maddison in midfield for the clash with Newcastle United, and was pleased that City once again showcased their strength in depth as they surged to their biggest-ever Premier League win.
I’m happy when I can play. It’s always like that. We have a very good team, we have a strong bench also, and that’s also very important.

He added: “I’m happy when I can play. It’s always like that. We have a very good team, we have a strong bench also, and that’s also very important.
“I think we saw that also against Luton, but we have a deep squad and that’s important. Whenever the gaffer gives me a chance to play, I try to do my best.”
