Fuchs: Keeping Fit & Home Schooling
- Christian Fuchs spoke to to LCFC TV via video call over the weekend
- The Leicester City defender explained how he is sticking to the Club's fitness regime from home
- Fuchs also discussed life at home with his young family
Since the Premier League season was suspended due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Fuchs and his City team-mates have been following Government guidelines to remain at home.
With no top-flight fixtures to contend with at present, the Austrian full-back, who won the title with the Club in 2016, has been spending time with his young family.
Sat at home with his dog, Star, Fuchs explained how the past two weeks have been: "We’re doing well over here in the middle of the countryside, enjoying family life together.
"I think that’s the most important thing right now; that you stay together with your closest family members; stay safe, stay healthy and stay at home, which obviously is the main part.
We’re heating the house with wood chops! We have two chimneys, so they have to be filled up all the time. It’s a good work-out here and the fresh air helps us to also stay mentally healthy.

"We’re blessed here because we have a big backyard, so we’re not in our four walls only. We can use the forest that we have outside.
"We can use the backyard to play football, which my kids, obviously, are crazy about all the time and just to also enjoy the fresh air.
"Sticking to those guidelines that the Government is telling you to stick to is very important for everybody, so that we can get through this difficult situation as quick as possible."
Fuchs also revealed that City's players are doing everything possible to remain in shape over a challenging period, with help from the Club's coaching staff.
Catching Up With Christian Fuchs
Christian Fuchs was the latest Leicester City star to catch up with LCFC TV presenter Dan Bates earlier this week.
"We are fortunate that we have a lot of grass, a lot of woods, a lot of tracks, that we can exercise in," the 33-year-old continued.
"First of all, I can do my running programme from Leicester, my workouts too, but then there are also parks fairly close.
"Again, people still need to go outside, it’s not that there are masses there, but you have your social distancing as well… besides that, it’s a lot of wood chopping.

Wherever you are in the world, because we also have fans from overseas, stick to your guidelines. It’s important to get through this period of time as soon as possible.

On the current situation, Fuchs added: "I know everybody is eager to see the Premier League back live, back in action, but as we can all see, there are a lot more important things than football only.
"This is about the health of not only us players but the health of everybody and it’s so important to stick to the guidelines that we are given by the Government and the NHS.
"Wherever you are in the world, because we also have fans from overseas, stick to your guidelines. It’s important to get through this period of time as soon as possible.
"Football is not the most important thing, but if we stick to that, we’ll have our beautiful game back faster than we all can imagine, so stay safe. I’ll do it, and you’re in charge as well."
