Maddison: Three Tough Games

- James Maddison looks ahead to Leicester City’s Premier League clash with Everton at King Power Stadium on Wednesday (6pm kick-off)

- Maddison highlighted the Toffees form and Dominic Calvert-Lewin’s effectiveness in front of goal

First up for City is a tricky encounter at King Power Stadium with Everton, who registered a 1-0 victory over Chelsea last weekend thanks to Gylfi Sigurðsson’s first-half penalty.

Then, four days later, the Foxes head to Tottenham Hotspur Stadium to take on José Mourinho’s table-topping outfit, before welcoming Manchester United to Filbert Way on Boxing Day.

“[We've] now three really tough games to come," Maddison told LCFC TV after netting a brace in Sunday’s 3-0 win against Brighton & Hove Albion.

“They're all tough, I guess, in the Premier League. But Everton, Spurs, Manchester United [are] the next three.

“We'll be three games closer to the end of the season which gives you a better picture (of City’s league standing) but I think especially with the season [and] how it is this year, it's just taking every game as it comes.”

First up, though, City host the Toffees in a 6pm kick-off on Wednesday, and Maddison knows his side must be way of the Premier League’s current top scorer and England international colleague, Dominic Calvert-Lewin.

"It's three games, especially in quick succession now,” he added. “We've got another game [on] Wednesday, which we need to recover for.

“Everton, who have been in good form this season, they look good. They've got a really good goalscorer in [Dominic] Calvert-Lewin and so we'll prepare for that no different to any other and take it game by game.”
