- Leicester City’s pre-season schedule began at LCFC Training Ground on Monday
- The Foxes reported back for testing and then trained in the afternoon
- Harvey Barnes and Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall were both on media duty after the summer break
It will be the Foxes’ first full season based at the Seagrave complex following their move from Belvoir Drive in December 2020, and spirits were high as the Club’s stars arrived in north Leicestershire following the summer break.
Their detailed schedule begins this week, while their pre-season fixture calendar will see them face Burton Albion, Wycombe Wanderers and Queens Park Rangers later this month, before they take on Manchester City in the FA Community Shield in early August.
Harvey Barnes spoke to LCFC TV upon returning to LCFC Training Ground following the summer break.
That match is followed by their Premier League opener versus Wolverhampton Wanderers at King Power Stadium, where their eighth-straight campaign in England’s top tier gets underway on Saturday 14 August.
Discussing his return to training, Academy graduate Harvey Barnes told LCFC TV: “The back end of last year was a frustrating period where I was trying to get myself back fit. I was watching on from the sidelines and couldn't really do a lot.

"Over the summer, I've been in a lot for rehab, just trying to get back to 100 per cent again. Even though I've been at the training ground a lot, it's been good to see everyone's face today and have some company. It's been really good."
After their maiden testing and training session, City’s stars will enjoy a full week in Seagrave, as they aim to build up a base level of fitness prior to the 2021/22 Premier League campaign.

Eager to impress after a fine loan spell at Championship outfit Luton Town last campaign, fellow Academy star Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall said: “I enjoyed it, I managed to have a good rest and recharge and managed to come back for pre-season in good shape. I'm ready to get straight into it now and kick on.
"I was really proud of what I did at Luton. That was the plan, for me to go out and have a full season in a really good league. I did everything there that I planned to do in my head, and I was just happy to carry that out so everyone could see what I can do as a footballer."
Throughout pre-season, LCFC TV will be on hand to document City’s movements, so be sure to stay tuned across the next few weeks.
