'We Know Burnley's Qualities & We Know Our Own' – Thomas Previews Clarets Clash

Nullifying Burnley's threats and maximising their own will be key for Leicester City in Tuesday's visit to Turf Moor, says Luke Thomas.

The Foxes are in need of Premier League points but so too are Sean Dyche's hosts, who currently find themselves in the relegation zone. Thomas, 20, has made 24 appearances in all competitions for City this term and is eager to start securing results which their recent performances have warranted.

Leicester fell to a 2-1 reverse in their last top-flight outing, despite dominating proceedings at Wolverhampton Wanderers, and the Academy graduate admits it was a tough one to take. All focus is now firmly on putting that right with three points against Burnley, the 20-year-old left-back says.

"It was definitely one of the hardest games to take, with the way we played," he told LCFC TV. "I think we dominated the game throughout. We passed the ball so well, it was just in that final third that we couldn’t get it in the back of the net really, that final pass which would set someone up.

"They scored two goals from outside the box, which is hard to deal with really. They were two great strikes, but it’s about bouncing back. This week, we’ve focused and our minds are on the Burnley game and hopefully we can get three points, which we desperately need at the minute.

With the wind and the weather, it can be tough. We know the qualities we have and hopefully we can use the Wolves performance to keep the performances and show that against Burnley and get the win in the end.

"I’m sure we can do that, but it’s a hard place to go, Turf Moor. We know they have quality and it’s a difficult stadium to play at, especially on a Tuesday night, so hopefully we can get the win.

"I don’t think there’s been many times where we’ve been there and actually showed real quality because it’s a hard place to go.

"With the wind and the weather, it can be tough. We know the qualities we have and hopefully we can use the Wolves performance to keep the performances and show that against Burnley and get the win in the end."

Facing Burnley is always a difficult proposition, especially in Lancashire, but Thomas is confident that Leicester's quality can shine through if they execute their game plan effectively.

Vardy's Double Sees City Draw With Burnley

Watch all four goals from Leicester City's 2-2 Premier League draw with Burnley at King Power Stadium.

"In the last few games, we’ve played quite well," he added. "We’ve played good football. Against West Ham, we were unlucky to concede. Obviously, corners have been a problem this season and we’re looking to work on that at the moment. Hopefully we can continue to do that.

"We know it’ll be a difficult task against a team like Burnley with how good they are, but we’ll show our aggression and hopefully the football quality will come through and we’ll get the win. I don’t think any game in the Premier League is easy, no matter where a team is in the league.

"Burnley always seem to be able to keep themselves out of that relegation zone. We know the qualities they have and know their game stye. Hopefully we can continue to play our game and our game is better than theirs on the day."
