Maddison's Fitness To Be Assessed, Says Rodgers
- Leicester City entertain Manchester United in the Premier League on Thursday (8pm BST kick-off)
- Midfielder James Maddison's condition will be assessed in the build up, says Brendan Rodgers
- The England international missed Saturday's 2-1 loss at Chelsea with an injury
- City have no fresh injury concerns at this stage, the Foxes manager adds
The Foxes midfielder missed last Saturday's 2-1 reverse at Chelsea after picking up a 'twinge' in training last week. Leicester return to home soil on Thursday evening to tackle Erik ten Hag's Red Devils and Rodgers hopes Maddison will be able to play a role at King Power Stadium.
"We’ve had most of the guys training and available as was for the weekend," the Northern Irishman told the national media on Tuesday afternoon at LCFC Training Ground. "[On] James Maddison, we’re hopeful, but we’ll see how he is tomorrow."
Rodgers, who later confirmed there are no fresh injuries at this stage, also highlighted the need for consistency in City's performances.
You’ve got to be able to turn those performances consistently into results.

"This league is all about consistency, and if you can find consistency in the performance level, then you can end up getting consistency in results," he added.
"I think we should have more points than we have, I think that’s fair enough to say. We’ve been in good positions in games, and at the weekend, I felt we should have had something from that. You’ve got to be able to turn those performances consistently into results.
"It’s not been ideal, but of course it’s very early, however we’d have hoped to have made a better start."
