Ellen Jones Scores In FA Cup For Coventry

Three LCFC Women loanees featured last weekend as we focus on the efforts of our Foxes currently playing away from Filbert Way.

- Ellen Jones scores for Coventry United two weeks ago
- Charlie Devin featured in 4-0 win for Birmingham City
- Sophie Barker played 90 minutes in tight defeat to Durham
- Natasha Flint awaits her first appearance for Celtic

Ellen Jones has been a constant feature for Coventry United since her loan move across the Midlands to the Barclays Women's Championship side during the last transfer window.

Two weeks ago, the youngster scored in a 4-0 win for her new side, as Coventry advanced to the fifth round of the Vitality Women's FA Cup, after beating Hashtag United 4-0.

More recently, Ellen Jones started against Charlton Athletic in the league on Sunday, but was substituted before the Midlands side were beaten by a 97th minute strike from Alex Hennessy.

Connie Scofield is also on the roster for Coventry, but is yet to make her first appearance for the side currently bottom of the second-tier standings, with three points on the board.

Charlie Devlin is currently on loan with Championship outfit Birmingham City this season.

Charlie Devlin, who joined Birmingham City on loan from City during the summer, has played 13 times this term, and was involved in a 4-0 win against Lewes last weekend.

Jade Pennock scored a hat-trick during the performance, as Devlin continues to look for her first goal away from the Foxes. Currently fourth in the Championship with seven wins from 12 this season, the loanee will be aiming to have an impact on the Blues' push for promotion.

Another Fox on a season-long loan is Sophie Barker, who joined up with Championship outfit Sheffield United, and has featured heavily for the team since the turn of the new year.

Last weekend, Barker, who has been named the Blades' captain, played in a 1-0 loss to Durham as Jessica Clarke scored the only goal of the game in the 89th minute. Before that, the 32-year-old played 90 minutes in a 1-1 draw against Blackburn Rovers back in January.

Natasha Flint has scored 25 goals in 63 games for the Foxes.

Leicester's former No.7 Natasha Flint moved north of the border, as the forward joined Celtic in the Scottish Women's Premier League on the final day of the January window.

Flint was an unused substitute in the Bhoys' 3-0 victory against Aberdeen; a result that keeps them second in the standings with an impressive 44 points from 17 games.

Monique Robinson

Monique Robinson came off the bench to score her first senior goal against Brighton in January.

There are three players who are dual-registered with the Foxes, as Monique Robinson and 'keeper Sophia Poor play for Loughborough Lightning, while Mackenzie Smith occasionally features for nearby rivals Nottingham Forest.

Robinson has 14 appearances for Loughborough this season, but hasn't featured recently due to her first team duties with the Foxes, which has included a first professional goal for the midfielder, who found the net with a Barclays Women's Super League Goal of the Month nomination during a 3-0 win against Brighton & Hove Albion a few weeks back.
