Leicester City Touch Down In Thailand For Summer Tour
A travelling party including the likes of Jamie Vardy, Ricardo Pereira and Patson Daka landed on Friday after a comfortable flight from the United Kingdom. Manager Enzo Maresca led the way as the Foxes were greeted by a typically warm Thai welcome at Suvarnabhumi Airport, with crowds of supporters waiting for them outside the terminal building.

Club legends Wes Morgan, Emile Heskey, Matt Elliott and Gerry Taggart were already in Thailand, arriving a day earlier, ready for what promises to be a memorable stay in the homeland of City’s owner Khun Aiyawatt and the Srivaddhanaprabha family.
Earlier in the day, Filbert Fox joined LCFC Live mascots Phil and Bett outside King Power’s headquarters, where that quintet of former City stars met staff at the Club’s parent company. The current squad of players, meanwhile, are in Thailand to work ahead of the new Sky Bet Championship season. There are several training sessions in the diary either side of a showcase friendly fixture against Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday (11am BST kick-off).

There will be plenty of opportunities for Foxes stars past and present to meet the Club’s fans in Thailand too, with events ranging from Q&A evenings to coaching clinics. The first item on the to-do list, though, was to meet the city’s media at Suvarnabhumi Airport.
Alongside Chairman Khun Top, Maresca was joined at the top table by Premier League and FA Cup winner Marc Albrighton, Academy graduate Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall and former Spurs midfielder Harry Winks.

The real business begins on Saturday, with an open training session in front of the locals at the striking Rajamangala Stadium, pre-match media commitments and an evening launch event for the Club’s stay in Thailand at the tip of the magnificent Mahanakhon building. This is just the first leg of an exciting and wide-ranging tour of Southeast Asia for the Club, which also includes a friendly encounter with Liverpool in Singapore next weekend.
