Leicester City’s Under-18s opened their account for 2023/24 with a 2-1 victory at Norwich City on Saturday afternoon.
Kicking off the U18 Premier League South campaign at Lotus Training Centre, following last season’s ninth-place finish, it was the perfect start to the season for the side coached by Adam Barradell.
Ryan Donnelly set up Alfie Fisken for the opener on the stroke of half-time, before Fisken assisted Reece Evans on 54 minutes to double the young Foxes’ advantage.
With 10 minutes to go, Charlie Wilson pulled a goal back for the Canaries, but City held on to claim all three points in Norfolk.
Leicester sit sixth in the early U18 Premier League South standings, prior to facing Brighton & Hove Albion Under-18s at LCFC Training Ground on Saturday (11am BST kick-off).
