King Power Stadium

Match Guide: Cardiff City

Sky Bet Championship action returns to King Power Stadium on Saturday afternoon as the Foxes host Cardiff City on Filbert Way (3pm kick-off).

- There's a host of pre-match entertainment to enjoy at Saturday’s game
- Supporters are encouraged to arrive early at King Power Stadium
- Mobile Tickets will again be in use for thousands of fans

Enzo Maresca’s side have won all three of their opening fixtures in all competitions, with their most recent success coming at Huddersfield Town last weekend.

Ahead of the game against the Bluebirds, the Club would like to share and reiterate some important updates with supporters.

As always, fans are advised to arrive as early as possible to avoid any potential queuing at turnstiles and to ensure everyone can get to their seats in time for kick-off, which is at 3pm on Saturday 19 August.

There are plenty of reasons to arrive early at King Power Stadium and we’ve put together the below information for supporters to familiarise themselves with ahead of their visit.

Pre-match entertainment

The pre-match action outside King Power Stadium promises an unforgettable experience for fans of all ages, with the fun starting from 12:30pm until 2:30pm.

The lively atmosphere around the main stage, located outside the Foxes Fanstore and N23, will get the excitement going ahead of kick-off.

Entertainment on the day will include a brilliant live band before our matchday host takes charge for an array of thrilling prize giveaways that add to a memorable time.

The fun doesn’t stop there though, as located in the North Brickweave area, right next to the Foxes Fanstore, several other activities await. These include inflatable LCFC goals, allowing fans young and old to test their shooting skills, while virtual gaming simulators, PlayStations, 360 videos, stage games and more add to the fun!

Clap banners and honesty flags

For those who wish to use them, clap banners are available for supporters to collect on the stadium’s home concourses after going through the turnstiles.

Supporters will notice that for the 2023/24 season, clap banners will no longer be placed on seats ahead of a game, instead they can be collected from the home concourses.

Honesty Flags will also again be available inside the stadium bowl for supporters to use during the match, with the Club kindly asking for their return upon each supporter’s exit from the stadium at full-time.

Get your hands on the Club's new kits

If you haven’t done so already, don’t miss out on getting your hands on the Club’s newly launched adidas kits for the 2023/24 season.

Available to purchase from the Foxes Fanstore, which will be open from 9am and closes one hour after the final whistle on Saturday, the classic home kit, sleek away kit, and eye-catching third kit are all in stock and ready to purchase.

In addition to the new season’s kits, the Foxes Fanstore offers an extensive selection of LCFC merchandise, including a new range of trainingwear and leisurewear.

If you can't wait to explore the full range of LCFC gear and want to plan your visit in advance, look no further than the official online store at LCFC.com/shop to browse through our collections.

Mobile ticketing

Following the success of last season’s Mobile Ticketing scheme, thousands of supporters have again chosen Mobile Tickets (NFC) as their preferred method of entry into King Power Stadium.

Mobile Tickets are commonplace in most major venues in the country, using a ‘Near Field Communication’ system designed to provide a more convenient, environmentally friendly, and secure way for supporters to access King Power Stadium.

To help support the transition to mobile ticketing, a host of information and guides are available for supporters using it for the first time, so to read our FAQs on Mobile Tickets, click HERE and for guidance on how to use Mobile Tickets, click HERE.

Singing section

Following its trial introduction last season and a series of pilots, 2023/24 will see the trial for the Singing Section continue at King Power Stadium in SK1.

The section was introduced at the request of supporters, with the aim of giving like-minded fans an opportunity to gather together in a defined area of the stadium to provide coordinated vocal backing for the team.

Match attending supporters were surveyed for their feedback on the trial in March, with the results leading to the extension of the trial into the new campaign.

Fan behaviour

Leicester City is dedicated to fostering a safe and inclusive environment for all individuals associated with our Football Club and is once again joining with football’s leading stakeholders to address rising incidents of discrimination in the game.

The Club wishes to reinforce the importance of behavioural expectations and remind individuals of the introduction of stronger consequences for any form of anti-social behaviour.

Supporters are advised that not only will anti-social behaviour such as offensive chanting lead to sanctions from the Club, but it may also amount to a criminal offence and to further, more serious consequences for individuals involved.

Reporting procedures

Should you experience, see or hear unacceptable behaviour on a matchday, report it. Please text 60066 starting your message with FOXES and tell us where you are in the stadium and what you wish to report.

The Football Club takes discrimination in all its forms seriously and your support in helping us to eradicate it from King Power Stadium is vital in our mission to continue making football something that can be enjoyed by everyone.

Please also refer to our Supporter Charter. For more information, including about the Club’s social media banning policy, click HERE.

Other facilities available for supporters with disabilities to enhance their matchday experience at King Power Stadium, include:
