Match Guide: Hull City

Leicester City return to Sky Bet Championship action on Filbert Way this Saturday as they welcome Hull City to King Power Stadium (3pm BST kick-off).

- Leicester City face Hull City at King Power Stadium this weekend
- The Foxes are currently top of the Sky Bet Championship table
- Supporters encouraged to arrive early on Filbert Way
- Fans can enjoy a range of pre-match activities

The Foxes currently have a 100 per cent winning record in the second tier following victories over Coventry City, Huddersfield Town, Cardiff City and Rotherham United so far this season.

This weekend’s visitors, meanwhile, are currently eighth in the league standings, and drew 1-1 at home to Bristol City last time out.

Ahead of the game, the Club would like to share and reiterate some important updates and have put together the below information for supporters to familiarise themselves with ahead of their visit.

Fans are advised to arrive as early as possible to avoid any potential queuing at turnstiles and to ensure everyone can get to their seats in time for the 3pm kick-off.

Pre-match entertainment

As always, the pre-match action outside King Power Stadium promises to be an unforgettable experience for supporters of all ages.

The fun starts from 12:30pm until 2:30pm, with the excitement to kick-off around the main stage, located outside the Foxes Fanstore and N23.

A brilliant live band will headline the entertainment on the day, with our matchday host taking charge for an array of thrilling prize giveaways!

Other activities which will add to the pre-match thrill include two inflatable goals, football pool, football tables, a face painter, glitter artist and stage games, all of which are located by the Fanstore on the North Brickweave.

Please note the Fanstore will be open from 9am – 3pm on Saturday and will then re-open at full-time until 5:30pm.

Clap banners and honesty flags

For those who wish to use them, clap banners are available for supporters to collect on the stadium’s home concourses after going through the turnstiles.

Clap banners are no longer placed on seats ahead of a game during the 2023/24 season, instead they can be collected from the home concourses.

Honesty Flags will also be available inside the stadium bowl for supporters to use during the match, with the Club kindly asking for their return upon each supporter’s exit from the stadium at full-time.

Matchday programmes

From Saturday’s game onwards, the Club’s official matchday programme, CITY, will be available to purchase from sellers on the stadium’s concourses.

In each issue, a Men's First Team player speaks in-depth, alongside exclusive interviews with stars of LCFC Women and the Club’s Academy.

Chairman Aiyawatt Srivaddhanaprabha and manager Enzo Maresca, meanwhile, also pen their regular notes, as does Club Ambassador Alan 'The Birch' Birchenall.

There's 13 pages of analysis on the visitors to King Power Stadium, and another 15 pages dedicated to John Hutchinson's popular heritage section – including an interview with a former Foxes star, plus new features based on World Cup icons, football statues and crest history.

Junior Foxes aren't left out either with an interactive two-page section reserved purely for challenges and teasers to be taken before kick-off, while the statisticians among the Blue Army can enjoy a four-page numbers section, including a column by author and City fan Dave Smith.

All of this and much more is available every matchday, with programmes sold by sellers on the concourses, outside King Power Stadium, inside the Foxes Fanstore and online.

Leicester Pride

Leicester Pride takes place in the city centre this Saturday and the Club are showing their full support of the celebration.

Leicester’s annual Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender (LGBT) festival, the event is held at the beginning of September each year and celebrates equality and diversity in our community.

Branding will be visible inside the Foxes Fanstore and stadium bowl on Saturday, while the rainbow flag will be flying proudly outside Main Reception.

Earlier this week, Men’s First Team player Conor Coady met Foxes Pride members at the Club’s training ground to learn more about their work and this weekend’s Pride celebration.

Foxes Pride are the Club’s LGBTQ+ supporter group and work with Leicester City to tackle homophobia, biphobia and transphobia in football, while promoting the welfare of the Club’s LGBTQ+ fans and ensuring King Power Stadium is a safe and welcoming place.

On matchdays, there is a dedicated stewarding team to help supporters with disabilities to ensure they enjoy their matchday experience.

Each area of the ground has access for wheelchair users, while the concourses have accessible toilets, with access granted via RADAR keys, obtained from stewards or a member of our corporate stewards team.

Other facilities available for supporters with disabilities to enhance their matchday experience at King Power Stadium, include:

Audio descriptive service

Headsets with full descriptive commentary can be provided for visually impaired supporters. These are available from the matchday staff entrance an hour and a half before kick-off. (Failure to return the headset will incur an £80 fee – with deposit details taken on collection of the headset.)

Hearing loops are fitted and clearly signed at various locations around King Power Stadium including the ticket office, Foxes Fanstore, main reception and catering outlets.

Mobile ticketing

Following the success of last season’s Mobile Ticketing scheme, thousands of supporters have again chosen Mobile Tickets (NFC) as their preferred method of entry into King Power Stadium.

Mobile Tickets are commonplace in most major venues in the country, using a ‘Near Field Communication’ system designed to provide a more convenient, environmentally friendly, and secure way for supporters to access King Power Stadium.

To help support the transition to mobile ticketing, a host of information and guides are available for supporters using it for the first time, so to read our FAQs on Mobile Tickets, click HERE and for guidance on how to use Mobile Tickets, click HERE.

Singing section

Following its trial introduction last season and a series of pilots, 2023/24 will see the trial for the Singing Section continue at King Power Stadium in SK1.

The section was introduced at the request of supporters, with the aim of giving like-minded fans an opportunity to gather together in a defined area of the stadium to provide coordinated vocal backing for the team.

Match attending supporters were surveyed for their feedback on the trial in March, with the results leading to the extension of the trial into the new campaign.

Fan behaviour

Leicester City is dedicated to fostering a safe and inclusive environment for all individuals associated with our Football Club and is once again joining with football’s leading stakeholders to address rising incidents of discrimination in the game.

The Club wishes to reinforce the importance of behavioural expectations and remind individuals of the introduction of stronger consequences for any form of anti-social behaviour.

Supporters are advised that not only will anti-social behaviour such as offensive chanting lead to sanctions from the Club, but it may also amount to a criminal offence and to further, more serious consequences for individuals involved.

Reporting procedures

Should you experience, see or hear unacceptable behaviour on a matchday, report it. Please text 60066 starting your message with FOXES and tell us where you are in the stadium and what you wish to report.

The Football Club takes discrimination in all its forms seriously and your support in helping us to eradicate it from King Power Stadium is vital in our mission to continue making football something that can be enjoyed by everyone.

Please also refer to our Supporter Charter. For more information, including about the Club’s social media banning policy, click HERE.

Ticket resale platform

As part of the Club’s investment in facilities for supporters, and in looking to increase affordability, 2023/24 Season Ticket Holders will again have access to Leicester City’s Ticket Resale platform.

The platform is intended to help our loyal Season Ticket Holders on the occasions where other commitments mean they’re unable to attend a fixture at King Power Stadium.
