City's Youngsters Hit Five At West Brom

Leicester City Under-18s emerged as 5-2 victors in a thrilling U18 Premier League South encounter at West Browmich Albion on Saturday.

It's now two wins on the bounce for the side coached by Adam Barradell, who saw off Southampton 2-1 in Seagrave a week ago and backed up that result on the road at West Bromwich Albion Training Ground.

The Baggies took the lead shortly before half-time, with Eseosa Sule finding the net to see the hosts in at half-time with a slender lead. City responded in stunning fashion at the start of the second period, however.

Just two minutes after the restart, Mirsad Ali found the equaliser and that was followed almost immediately by Reece Evans converting a chance to hand Leicester the advantage. The second half was still just six minutes old when Jayden Joseph made it 3-1.

Keilan Quinn set up an interesting final 10 minutes, reducing the deficit, before substitute Jake Evans all-but wrapped things up for the young Foxes. A stoppage-time goal from Kirsten Otchere rounded off the scoring to continue his fine form in front of goal and extend the team's winning run to two matches.

The victory sees Leicester leapfrog West Brom in the league standings, now sitting eighth on 12 points from their opening eight games. Next up, the Foxes host Tottenham Hotspur at LCFC Training Ground on Saturday (11:30am GMT kick-off).
