The Foxes are back home at King Power Stadium this weekend when they welcome fourth-placed Spurs on Sunday afternoon. City will be hoping to get back to winning ways, having not picked up a point since their 1-1 draw with Manchester United, and most recently saw defeat to Arsenal last time out.

Ahead of Sunday, the Manager provided a fitness update on the squad, stating that Canadian winger Rose, who joined the Club from Reading this summer, will be unavailable, after being taken off at half-time in the Gunners' defeat with what has now been confirmed as an injury substitution.

Deanne Rose made her first WSL start for Leicester last weekend against Arsenal.

"Deanne [Rose] came off at half-time because she had a problem with her hamstring," the 45-year-old told the media. "So she'll definitely miss this weekend, but we don't know how long she will be out for. It's a tendon injury, not a muscle, so it shouldn't be as long, and she is disappointed after having to get over a long-term injury during her Reading days, but I've said to her she is a long-term player."

The No.7 will join the injury list with Shannon O'Brien, who Kirk admitted will miss the next couple of months with a quadriceps injury, but he did go on to outline the positives that Dutch 'keeper Lize Kop, and Australian striker Remy Siemsen are upping their workload each day, having both been included in the previous matchday squad.

The former Everton manager added: "The good news is Lize [Kop] and Remy [Siemsen] are both doing well and are, most of the time, back training with the first team squad and I'm sure you will see them playing for Leicester at some point soon, but it's good to have them back in contention."
