The Foxes dispatched Swansea City 3-1 on Filbert Way on Tuesday night, courtesy of goals from Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall, Stephy Mavididi and Yunus Akgün, to move 10 points clear at the top of the Sky Bet Championship. That came just three days after progressing into the Emirates FA Cup Fifth Round.
Keen to extend the winning streak, collecting three more points is high on the agenda for the Academy graduate, with the Potters up next at bet365 Stadium this Saturday (3pm kick-off).
Three For The Foxes In Swansea Triumph
The best of the action from King Power Stadium on Tuesday night as the Foxes overcame Swansea City.
“We’re really confident after [Swansea],” City's No.35 who played 80 minutes against the Swans, commented. “We probably weren’t at our best, but we got the three points and hopefully we can go on a run like we did before.
“We look to get better every week, after every game. The Manager is so big on that. We’re back in training and the boys who started will recover well.”
Saturday’s opponents are under new management, with Steven Schumacher taking charge of the club last month. Placed 19th in the table, they are awaiting a first home triumph of Schumacher’s tenure.
We’ve been good on the road recently and hopefully we can keep that going.
Kasey McAteer
Leicester, on the other hand, are looking to get back to winning ways on the road, having tasted defeat at Coventry City in their last league outing.
“We’re looking forward to the weekend away at Stoke,” the 22-year-old added. “It’ll be a tough game, like every game is. We’ll go there full of confidence but knowing we’re in for a battle, especially at their place. They’ll be fully ready too, I’m sure.
“It’ll be different. There’s nothing like playing at home in front of a packed out King Power Stadium. It’s amazing when you’re here, especially under the lights, but we’ve been good on the road recently and hopefully we can keep that going.”
