Dewsbury-Hall: All About Maintaining Our Mentality
- Leicester City will move on quickly from their latest victory, according to Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall
- The Foxes beat Sheffield Wednesday 2-0 on Tuesday to remain clear at the top of the Championship
- Middlesbrough are up next in the league at King Power Stadium this Saturday (3pm kick-off)
- The midfielder believes every game presents a unique challenge that City must be ready for
The Foxes defeated Sheffield Wednesday 2-0 on Tuesday night to move 12 points clear at the Sky Bet Championship’s summit, with Dewsbury-Hall teeing up Abdul Fatawu for the opener prior to Jamie Vardy’s 11th of the campaign sealing the points at King Power Stadium.
Once again, there’s little time to bask in the glory of that success, which came three days on from beating Watford, with Middlesbrough due on Filbert Way this Saturday (3pm kick-off), a challenge which the midfielder expects to be a difficult one for Enzo Maresca’s men.

Both of the goals and major moments from Leicester City's 2-0 victory over Sheffield Wednesday.
“It was a good win,” the Academy graduate explained. “We'll get in and recover and go again on Saturday. It’ll be a tough game. They're a good team with a good manager that plays nice football. But every game in this division is tough.
“It's nice that we're at home and will get the crowd behind us and I'm sure that if we do the right things again like we did against Sheffield Wednesday, we'll be alright.
“I think if we make sure we play to our strengths and obviously look at what the opposition bring to the table and just make sure we try and nullify that, we won't go far wrong. That's what we'll do in the next couple of days and see what happens on Saturday.”
A fourth consecutive league victory, alongside a second clean sheet in three games, and the gap to third place opening up to 14 points, it has been a very productive few weeks for City, who have also progressed in the Emirates FA Cup. Continuing their imperious league form is the target at this moment in time, however.
I think the main thing is that we've got to focus on ourselves and what we do in a game because we're top for a reason.
Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall
“Confidence is very high,” the 25-year-old added. “We're playing really well at the moment, creating good goals and not conceding many, so it has to be.
“We've won a couple on the bounce and we're just keeping that mentality and trying to win each game as they come and then see where it takes us.
“Obviously each team has their different ways of playing, but I think the main thing is that we've got to focus on ourselves and what we do in a game because we're top for a reason.”
