The Citizens would draw level right on the stroke of half-time through Micah Hamilton and, with the game in the balance, it was the Manchester club who seized the initiative.
Half-time substitute Jaden Heskey, son of former Foxes striker Emile Heskey, scored twice in eight minutes to take the game away from Leicester in the second period and ultimately see the away side claim three points.
The result leaves Leicester 24th in the PL2 standings, now a point behind Man City, with another home fixture coming up next Monday when Stoke City are the opponents in Seagrave (7pm BST kick-off).
