International action for our Foxes continued on Thursday and the quest for a place at the World Cup intensified, first of all when Australia faced Bangladesh at Bashundhara Kings Arena, with Leicester City defender Harry Souttar named in the starting line-up.

A dominant performance saw Australia take an early lead just before the half hour mark thanks to Ajdin Hrustic, before their advantage was doubled courtesy of a second-half strike from Portsmouth forward Kusini Yengi.

Lining up for Australia.

Currently clear at the top of Group I with 15 points, just one game remains when they take on Palestine on Tuesday afternoon (1:05pm kick-off) looking to maintain a 100 per cent record in the qualification stages to earn their spot at the World Cup.

Later on in the evening, Abdul Fatawu, who is on loan at the Club until the end of June, was a substitute as Ghana took on Mali in World Cup qualification for the 2026 tournament, from the list of African nations.

Sitting second in Group I, the Black Stars doubled their points tally after an injury-time winner from Crystal Palace's Jordan Ayew - just minutes after Fatawu's introduction into the game - ensured success at Stade 26 Mars. The young winger's next opportunity to play comes on Monday evening when they take on Central African Republic (8pm kick-off).
