The 20-year-old returns to King Power Stadium having spent the second half of the 2022/23 season on loan with the Foxes where she made 11 appearances in all competitions.

An industrious and reliable midfielder, Mace offers further selection options for new LCFC Women manager Amandine Miquel as the Football Club continues to strengthen ahead of the 2024/25 Barclays Women’s Super League campaign.

Speaking to LCFC.com, Mace said: “It feels a little surreal right now, but I am so happy to be back. When I first came here, it felt like I was joining a family the second I walked through the door – everybody was so welcoming.

“I was allowed express myself on the pitch and showcase what I can do. This is the best Football Club for me to continue doing that. Minutes are important at this stage of my career, and Leicester gave me the platform to play. Hopefully I can prove myself again and do my best to help the team.”

The 20-year-old has signed a two-year deal.

Now entering her fifth year in senior football, the England Under-23s regular will bring tenacity and robustness in the middle of the park and will be familiar with performing out of Filbert Way and Belvoir Drive.

Mace, who can also operate at centre-back, joins the Club this summer following three years with Manchester City. Her previous clubs include Arsenal and Birmingham City, where she spent the primary years of her senior career.

Recognised for her talent early on, Mace made her Arsenal debut at the age of 17, helping the Gunners beat Tottenham Hotspur in the FA Cup Quarter-Final in 2020. Her international progression has also earned regular appearances with England Under-17s, Under-19s and now Under-23s.

She now returns to Belvoir Drive on permanent terms to continue her rapid progression as the Football Club looks to further establish itself as a top tier WSL competitor.

Mace will look forward to linking up with familiar faces and new team-mates later this summer when the Foxes return for pre-season preparations.
