Former Goalkeeper Logan Joins Up With Leicester City Women
Logan will be known well by Leicester City fans, thanks to his 14-year spell playing for the Foxes. However, the goalkeeper also has a wealth of experience for various other teams including Stockport County, Bristol Rovers, and Rotherham United, whilst he still plays professionally for Sky Bet League 1 side Rochdale, where he has made 11 appearances so far this season.
The 30-year-old was also part of the Hibernian side that defeated Rangers in the Scottish Cup Final to win it for Hibs for first time in 114 years last season. He made his debut for the Edinburgh club in the competition’s Semi-Final where he was voted Man of the Match for his penalty shoot-out heroics.
“I’m enjoying working with the girls,” said Logan. “The Academy has been working with kids and with men, but this is the first time I’ve been able to work with a girls group. I’m really enjoying it. There is some great potential here and good goalkeepers.
"It’s enjoyable working with Under-7 ‘keepers up to the first-team goalkeepers who are in their early 20s who have good, bright futures ahead of them. We are looking forward to developing them even further.”
Jonathan Morgan, Leicester City Women’s first team manager, added: “It’s excellent to get on board someone with Conrad’s experience. It will definitely push not only our juniors but our seniors too. This partnership shows our intention to constantly improve and succeed as a club and will hopefully keep pushing us to higher heights.”
