Foxes Make Perth Children's Hospital Visit

LCFC Women have visited the Perth Children's Hospital, situated at Queen Elizabeth II Medical Trust Centre in Australia to extend community outreach while on pre-season tour.
A valued tradition on home soil and replicated away in Perth, squad members from the first travelling group headed to the hospital to extend their appreciation to the city and to continue a long-standing practice for the Football Club.
New signings Sari Kees and Chantelle Swaby were among those who joined in with gaming, football and reading activities, while all children visited received a Filbert Fox teddy to remember the day.
Supported by the Starlight Children's Foundation, the medical research institute focuses on the prevention of paediatric disease and the development of improved treatments to improve the health and wellbeing of children.
Following the first few days and training sessions, the City players earned themselves a day off during which a large majority of the group made a visit to Perth Zoo, catching the ferry from Elizabeth Quay to the other bank where the wildlife centre is based.
Able to see a variety of animals including penguins, lions, orangutans along with some traditional Australia wildlife such as kangaroos, fresh water and salt water crocodiles and koalas.
This week sees the intensity build up for the Foxes as they work towards their first match of the Perth International Football Cup, taking on Manchester City on Wednesday (11:15am BST kick-off) at HDF Park.
