Miquel, who joined the Club from Stade de Reims in the summer, is enthused for the game and hopes to see her team compete at the highest level.

"We are excited," Miquel said. "It's obviously a high-level game for us and a good opponent. We are going to work on all aspects of the game. We have mostly been working in possession but now we are also looking to work on out of possession and in transition."

Behind-closed-doors fixtures at Belvoir Drive have seen the team sharpen their tools ahead of the trip to the Australian west coast, and City's Manager is looking forward to seeing her team compete in a new environment.

The Manager is looking forward to the first test against Manchester City.

"It's going to be a different type of game compared to the first two [friendly fixtures] but it will be useful for the rest of our preparation ahead of the season. They are one of the best teams in this league and it allows us to measure our progress. I think it will be a good game.

"We are concentrating on our own game plan, our team and our game project. It's a friendly game, so we are focusing on our team first. We will look to apply our patterns of play and projects. We'll see how it goes.”

As always is the nature of pre-season, Miquel wants to see her team continue their growth ahead of a fourth consecutive season in the top-flight of English football, saying: "The most important thing is to progress on what we're trying to get across to the players."
