Talented young defender Ben Nelson has joined Sky Bet Championship side Oxford United on loan until the end of the 2024/25 season, subject to Football League clearance.

The 20-year-old has enjoyed a rapid rise through Leicester City's Academy over recent years to play a part in the First Team's success in 2023/24, helping the Foxes to promotion to the Premier League as Sky Bet Championship winners.
He made his senior debut for City in a Carabao Cup clash against Tranmere Rovers in August 2023 and later followed this up with his maiden league appearance at home to Plymouth Argyle in December 2023.
The England youth international has previous loan experience with Rochdale and Doncaster Rovers, and now links up with the U’s, who are next in action at home to Preston North End on Saturday 31 August.
