The annual event this year saw supporters from all the top-flight clubs descend on Lincoln Park to see their side in action.

With over 200 of the Stateside Blue Army in attendance it was a partizan atmosphere as Foxes young and old came together, exchanging stories and proudly showing off their LCFC colours.

It was a day to remember for many, especially after Stephy Mavididi’s 73rd-minute equaliser, which saw Steve Cooper’s side take a share of the spoils at King Power Stadium.

Bhikhu Shah, a former Season Ticket holder who emigrated to the USA, spoke about the importance of building up a growing community of Foxes across the pond and how PL Live provides an interactive experience to feel part of the action.

He said: “My first Leicester game was against Liverpool in the early 1980s. I came to my first event in LA a few years back and was in Nashville a few months ago.

“I have met loads of Leicester fans from the US; we always get together. It’s such a great thing that you are thousands of miles away but you still get to feel what it’s like to be at a game.”

Nick, meanwhile, a Leicester fan from Detroit, Michigan, loved the opportunity to be among fellow Foxes and soak up the buzz of a matchday.

“It’s awesome,” he told us. “It’s good to see Leicester fans as you don’t get many in Detroit. It’s nice to support the team with fans. I’m here with my wife and my son who are Leicester fans too and have been supporting since 2009.”

Fans also got the opportunity to meet Club mascot Filbert Fox, as well as chat to former Foxes full-back Danny Simpson, who explained why the event has been so special.

“It’s wild,” the 2016 Premier League winner commented. “It’s great to see all these Leicester fans that have come out here and everyone is loving it.

“For me as an ex-player, you don’t usually get to experience this, meeting all these different types of people that have spent their time supporting but don’t get to meet people like us.”

It’s been an action-packed schedule for the defender, who has seen the sights of Chicago across the week, including the city’s tallest building and some of the stars who grace the thriving sporting scene around Illinois.

“I’ve been here for a few days with all the team and it’s been unbelievable,” Simpson reflected. “We’ve been to a jazz bar, done beach volleyball, been kayaking and went up to the Ledge to see a view of Chicago.

“We went to a baseball game, met some Chicago Cubs players and had a swing. We’ve done so much. All the things that we’ve done and the people that we’ve met, it’s been fantastic.”
