The Players Gave Their All, Says Miquel
- LCFC Women beaten 1-0 by Arsenal on Sunday afternoon
- Frida Maanum scored the only goal at King Power Stadium
- The Foxes have one point in the Barclays Women's Super League
- Amandine Miquel says the players are working hard on the process
In what was the closest game between the sides in the WSL era, it turned out to be a frustrating afternoon for the Foxes, with City's Manager believing their efforts could have warranted a point on Filbert Way.
Determined to look at the positives, Miquel focused on the good things of the game, explaining how the team adjusted well to the gameplan, despite only being two games into the Barclays Women's Super League season.
"There was a possibility for us to draw this game," the Manager opened with. "But in the end, the performance was good and that's what we're focusing on right now; how well we play, how well we defend.
We will create chance for ourselves if we keep going and developing the game plan.

"I don't have much to say to the players today, they did well. They gave their best and it's high level football against a good team. On little mistakes, you can get punished. I felt like we had a very good game.
"It's about being more precise but for a game against a team like Arsenal, we can't ask for much more from the team. I think they did well, obviously we want more but we can't have this in the second game, it will take time."
Going into further detail about the gameplan, the French Manager spoke about the necessity to concede less goals, and I think the team are providing a good image of themselves in that respect.
Miquel added: "The players are understanding it (the gameplan) and enjoying how we're playing. It's a short defeat but a close game and that's what's important.
"The first objective was to take fewer goals than last season and so far we've taken two. I think that we have to reduce that as much as we can. We will create chance for ourselves if we keep going and developing the gameplan."
Miquel: The Performance Was Good
Amandine Miquel reflects on LCFC Women's defeat to Barclays Women's Super League opposition Arsenal.
The final mention was for winger Shana Chossenotte, who made her debut and an impact in front of the Foxes faithful, being denied from point-blank range towards the end of the 90 minutes.
Looking to get their first win of the season on Wednesday evening (7pm BST kick-off) when Leicester face Bristol City in the Women's League Cup, the 40-year-old urged the fans to keep pushing the team forward.
"I think she (Chossenotte) did well when she came in," the Manager continued. "She's coming back from a competition in Colombia so she's not at her full potential. It's her first game and she gave a little scare to Arsenal so it was a good performance from her.
"It was very nice to have the Leicester fans behind us and cheering. That's different than in France, they make a lot of noise, so thank you for that. Any time we had a good opportunity or transition, they were pushing the players on."
