Defender Marcin Wasilewski has signed a new one-year deal with the Club until the end of the 2014/15 Premier League season.
The 33-year-old has appeared 35 times for the Foxes since joining on a free transfer in September 2013, following a trophy-laden six-year spell with Belgian giants Anderlecht. A Poland international with 60 caps to his name, Wasilewski’s experience and presence at the heart of City’s defence this season helped the Club secure promotion with six games to spare as well as clinching the league title.
Wasilewski, who can also play at right-back, has proved to be a popular figure among City fans since his arrival, and has even had large contingents of Anderlecht fans travel to King Power Stadium to support him on several occasions throughout the season.
