France Call-Up For Knockaert

Anthony Knockaert will miss Tuesday’s Capital One Cup trip to Torquay United, having reported for international duty over the weekend.

The summer signing from Guingamp has been called up for the France Under-21 squad for their training camp in Clairefontaine, which runs until Wednesday.

He is due to rejoin the City squad on Thursday ahead of Saturday’s npower Championship opener against Peterborough United at King Power Stadium.

Meanwhile, youngster Joey Jones has been called up to the Northern Ireland Under-21 squad for their trip to Tatabanya to face Hungary on Wednesday.
