King Power Stadium played host to its first ever music concert on Saturday night, as Leicester City fans Kasabian lit up the home of the Premier League champions.

Fulfilling a long-time dream of playing at the home of their beloved Foxes, frontmen Tom Meighan and Serge Pizzorno led an emotional performance from the Leicester-based four-piece, joined by bassist Chris Edwards and drummer Ian Matthews, as the city continued its celebration of the Club's historic title triumph.
A capacity crowd of 27,000 packed into King Power Stadium for a set that included some of the band's biggest hits and several that have become synonymous with Leicester City success.

While Fire was the sound to greet every City goal at King Power Stadium during their march to the Premier League title, Underdog epitomised the fighting spirit that saw the Foxes overcome pre-season odds of 5000/1 to be crowned champions of England. Favourites such as Club Foot, L.S.F. and Empire have become mainstays of the King Power Stadium playlist in recent years.
Leicester City shirts, flags and scarves were proudly displayed among the capacity crowd throughout the night, which kicked off with performances from former Gorillaz guitarist Jeff Wootton, followed by highly rated Stockport band Blossoms.

The gig was the first of two very special nights at King Power Stadium this week, with the band returning on Sunday to take the party further into the Bank Holiday weekend.
It follows a sensational cameo from Kasabian at the climax of the Club's recent open-top bus tour two weeks ago, where the Premier League trophy was proudly paraded through the streets of Leicester. The band performed three songs at Victoria Park, the final destination on the parade route, in a preview to the two main events this weekend.
