Up until the final day, City had endured a frustrating few days in northern France with defeats by SM Caen, Standard Liège and Stade Brestois putting them at risk of finishing bottom of the rankings.
However, Steve Beaglehole’s men showed all the fight they will need during the 2017/18 Premier League 2 Division 1 campaign to pull off a hugely impressive final day win over Les Parisiens.
City will return to England this week for pre-season friendlies against TNS and Nottingham Forest ahead of the domestic season opener against Manchester United on Monday 14 August.
Last Friday morning, the Foxes started in Brittany with a narrow 1-0 reverse against Caen at the Stade Municipal Du Haut-Champ with Makan Macalou finding the net in the 34th minute.
Harvey Barnes closes down his man against SM Caen.
During the opening stages of the competition, matches were frenetic affairs, lasting just 50 minutes, and played against top-quality opposition.
Later on Friday, Beaglehole’s men also fell 2-0 at the hands of Standard Liège but performances remained impressive, despite early results.
Following a further 1-0 setback against Brestois on Saturday, the stakes were high for City, who are still returning to full fitness ahead of the new season.
But things drastically improved on Sunday morning with a magnificent 1-0 success over PSG which will give everyone among Beaglehole’s ranks some valuable confidence.
Josh Knight stretches for the ball in City's clash with Standard Liège.
Next up, Leicester have a behind-closed-doors pre-season friendly against TNS at the Club’s training ground on Wednesday (12pm kick-off). Then, on Monday 7 August, East Midlands rivals Forest will be the visitors (1pm kick-off) ahead of the PL2 opener seven days later.
City's squad: Iversen (GK), Knight, Wood, Choudhury, Moore (C), Hughes, Martis, Muskwe, Eppiah, Barnes, Gordon, Pascanu, Bramley (GK), Kaba Sherif, Hammond, Watts, Uche Rubio, Bolkiah.
