Fuchs Focused On Brighton Fixture
- Following Friday’s loss to Arsenal, Christian Fuchs wants Leicester City to clear their minds and concentrate on this weekend’s clash with Brighton and Hove Albion
- Craig Shakespeare’s men play their first game of the season at King Power Stadium on Saturday (3pm kick-off)
- Fuchs says the Foxes will learn from their defeat at Emirates Stadium
Defeated 4-3 at Arsenal, City have the opportunity to register their first win of the season when they host Brighton and Hove Albion on Saturday (3pm kick-off).
Assessing the Foxes’ performance at Emirates Stadium – positive despite conceding twice late on – Fuchs is hopeful a similar one on Filbert Way against the Premier League’s new boys will yield a victory.
Speaking to LCFC TV following the full-time whistle on Friday, the former Austria international said: “It’s disappointing with a performance like that and you end up with zero points.
Fuchs Looks To Take Positives
Foxes defender Christian Fuchs talks to LCFC TV after the 4-3 defeat to Arsenal at Emirates Stadium...
“Overall, I think the performance was okay but we tried everything. It was just in the last couple of minutes but now we’re looking to the next game.
“It’s disappointing the we scored three away goals and haven’t got anything out of it. We’re down, but we’ll analyse the game and go for the next game.
“As soon as we’re on the field again for the next training week, it’ll disappear from our heads. We should learn from what we did wrong and try to perform as similar as possible.

“At King Power Stadium, I don’t think teams like to come there, so we’ll try to give our best there too.”
Fuchs has been impressed with summer signing and fellow defender Harry Maguire, who set up Shinji Okazaki for City’s first Premier League goal of the term.
“He’s had a good pre-season and he’s a great player,” Fuchs said of Maguire.
“He’s filled the position very well and he’s a good addition to our team. He works well.”
