Riyad Mahrez has been a consistent performer for Algeria.

The City quintet all enjoyed varying degrees of playing time during a 1-1 draw, a result which came as John Ugo's opener was cancelled out by a late penalty from Yacine Brahimi.

Iheanacho and Ndidi were handed 90-minute run-outs while Musa came off the bench for the Super Eagles to replace Alex Iwobi with nine minutes to go.

Mahrez’s 31st Algeria cap, on the other hand, consisted of a 64-minute outing and Slimani was left on the field until the final whistle by Desert Foxes boss Lucas Alcaraz.

Academy graduate and Premier League winner Andy King, who is spending the remainder of the 2017/18 campaign with Swansea City, has been selected by new Wales manager Ryan Giggs.

Over 200 miles away, at Stade de France in Paris, King collected his 44th cap for Wales as Chris Coleman’s side fell to a 2-0 friendly reverse to France.

It took Antoine Griezmann just 18 minutes to open the scoring for the hosts before Olivier Giroud doubled their lead, once King had left the pitch, midway through the second half.

Earlier in the day, Gray played until the end as England’s Under-21s sealed a 2-0 success over Ukraine in their latest UEFA EURO U21 qualifier in Kiev.

Dominic Solanke’s early strike and an own goal by Pavlo Lukyanchuk ensured that Aidy Boothroyd’s young Lions, without the injured Ben Chilwell, remain in control of Group 4.

Elsewhere, the Club’s 2016/17 Academy Player of the Season, Pascanu, also played the full 90 minutes during Romania Under-21s’ 1-1 draw with Portugal in Ovidiu.

Thomas, too, represented Wales’ Under-21s in Bangor during a 4-0 defeat by Bosnia and Herzegovina.

On Wednesday, meanwhile, Admiral Muskwe made his senior Zimbabwe debut as an 81st minute substitute during a slender 1-0 defeat to Lesotho.
