Vardy: Be At Our Best
- Leicester City can beat any team if they are at their best, says Jamie Vardy
- Claude Puel’s men face West Ham United at London Stadium on Friday night (8pm kick-off)
- Vardy says City will be ready for the challenge no matter how the Hammers line-up
The Foxes will be hoping to replicate last season’s victory at London Stadium, where Vardy scored City’s third of the game in a 3-2 win.
Meanwhile, West Ham, now under the guidance of David Moyes, currently sit in the bottom three and haven’t won in their past five Premier League games.
“It’s going to be a difficult challenge,” Vardy told LCFC TV. “There are no easy games where you’re going to pick points up. We know that we’ve got to be at our best to have a chance at coming away with three points.
“It’ll be a hard game, but we know on our day, if we’re at our best we can beat anyone. We’ll make sure that we’re ready.
Vardy Expects Stern Hammers Challenge
Jamie Vardy sat down with LCFC TV to preview Friday's clash away at West Ham United.
“They’ve had a difficult start. They’ve got a lot of quality players there, so for whatever reason that’s the start they’ve had and they’ve changed manager.
“Obviously, it’s going to be his first home game, so they’ll be up for it and the fans will be up for it as well.”
Similar to City, the Hammers have a plethora of attacking talent, with Andy Carroll and Javier Hernandez both capable of effectively leading the line for the London outfit.
The Leicester No.9 continued: “I think you’ve got to be wary with whoever you play. Most teams are going have another plan if the first one doesn’t work, so you’ve always got to be ready and raring to change yourselves if need be.”

A first defeat in seven fixtures in all competitions came for the Foxes last time out, but Vardy says after analysing that game, attentions now turn to West Ham.
“The gaffer said himself that it’s not every day you’re going to turn up and play a team like Man City in the form that they’re in at the minute,” added the striker.
“We just need to put it in the back of our minds, which we’ve done. We’ve watched a quick video on them this week just to show areas where we can improve on the training field to start putting that into motion. Hopefully, come game day, we’ll get it right.
“They’ve been scoring five, six or seven goals past other teams, so I think we just need to learn from a couple of areas, work on them and take that into the next game.”
