Harry Maguire has been ever-present during his maiden season with the Foxes, a campaign which has seen him cement his status as an established England international.
On Tuesday at King Power Stadium, Maguire collected two major prizes during the Club’s End of Season Dinner, a reward for his exceptional performances in a City shirt this term.
“I’m obviously extremely proud and really honoured to collect these awards,” he told LCFC TV.
Maguire: Double Award Winner
An 'extremely proud' Harry Maguire picked up Leicester City’s 2017/18 Player of the Season and Players’ Player of the Season Awards at the End of Season Dinner on Tuesday.
“I’m very lucky to have signed for such a good club and well-supported club. The Chairman here is fantastic and the Club is going to hopefully progress in further years, so fingers crossed.”
After joining the Club from Hull City last summer, Maguire has become an invaluable member of Claude Puel’s squad and, over a short period of time, he has also endeared himself him to the Blue Army.
“I’ve been really lucky to come into the Club,” he added.
“It’s a great bunch of lads and there’s a great spirit. I’ve settled in really well with the lads and the supporters have been brilliant with me ever since I joined.
“It’s been a great season for myself. Like I said, as a team, we want to now push on next year and in the remaining three games.”
Wilfred Ndidi, on the other hand, was the recipient of the Club’s Young Player of the Season award for the second year in a row after joining City in January 2017.
Ndidi: A Proud Moment For Me
Midfielder Wilfred Ndidi took home the Club’s Young Player of the Season award, decided online by City supporters.
The 21-year-old currently tops both the Club’s and the Premier League’s overall tackling charts, making 138 interventions to date.
“I feel great,” Nigeria international Ndidi told LCFC TV. “It is a proud moment for me. I feel very happy about it.
“The fans have been fantastic. I would say kudos to them for always supporting the team.
“There have been a lot of ups and downs. The main thing is we are safe. The remaining games we are working towards it but this season as a whole it has been okay because we’ve learnt so many things.
“We’ll leave this for next season and see what comes out of it.”
Vardy Honoured With Goal Of The Season
Jamie Vardy shows appreciation for his 'Goal of the Season' award and reflects on his memorable left foot volley during March’s 4-1 win over West Bromwich Albion.
After overcoming some considerable competition, England's Jamie Vardy was presented with the Goal of the Season prize for his left-footed volley during March’s 4-1 win over West Bromwich Albion.
"It's great, we've had quite a few decent goals this season so to come away with the trophy for it is very honourable," Vardy, 31, said.
"We were 1-0 down and Riyad's [Mahrez] managed to get on the ball deep in his own half and, as soon as he looked up, I knew that he was going to look for the pass.
"I've started my run and he's literally put it on a sixpence and I've managed to connect first-time and put it bang across the 'keeper. He's got no time to react and it's slotted in the bottom corner.
"It definitely breaks into my top-10. Technically it's probably the best but obviously everyone knows the year that we won the league and we played Liverpool... that one will always stand out."
Later on, Captain Wes Morgan was joined on-stage by goalkeeper Kasper Schmeichel to collect the Club's Performance of the Season award, for City's 4-1 success at Southampton in December.
Morgan Recalls City's Performance Of The Season
Wes Morgan reflects on the 4-1 win over Southampton, after Claude Puel decided this was worthy of City's 'Performance of the Season Award'.
"It was a very cold, windy night, an away game in the evening, so It's not the best conditions but we really turned up," Morgan told LCFC TV.
"The boys were on form that night and got the goals at the right time. I think we got the early goals and really put it to bed early on."
Morgan and Schmeichel announced a donation of over £60,000 from the Club's players, before Chairman Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha pledged a stunning £1M to the LCFC Foxes Foundation.
City's skipper revealed: "We've got a group chat with the boys and we thought about what's at stake.
"We had a quick chat, together let's club together some money and donate what's on offer. Everyone agreed and credit to the boys, nobody said anything else but let's do it."
Academy stars Hamza Choudhury and Conor Tee, meanwhile, were the recipients of both youth-based awards during the Club’s End of Season Dinner.
Choudhury: It's Indescribable
Hamza Choudhury was delighted to receive the Development Squad Player of the Season award on Tuesday.
Choudhury, 20, has this term captained the Club’s Development Squad, who sit second in Premier League 2 Division 1, before going on to make five appearances for the first team.
“It’s a big achievement for me, so proud. I really enjoyed going up there and speaking in front of everyone but personally, it’s a really big achievement," Choudhury said.
“it is probably the biggest season of my short career so far, breaking into the first team at the end of it and making a few starts.
“Obviously my Premier League debut was the biggest moment of my career but also it’s been such a good season with the U23s and the lads were fantastic.
“It’s still not quite sunk in for me and it probably won’t until I get some time off at the end of the season and try and think about it."
Tee: This Is What Hard Work Can Do
Conor Tee reacts to picking up the Academy Player of the Season award at City's End Of Season Dinner on Tuesday night.
Seventeen-year-old Tee, on the other hand, has been instrumental for Trevor Peake’s Under-18s this term, to help the young Foxes rank fifth in the Premier League U18 South Division.
“It feels so good. It just shows how much hard work can do,” Tee said.
“It’s been really good because I’ve scored goals and I’ve got assists. I’ve just done what I needed to do for the team, which is always good – it’s pleasing.
“I’ve been in the right place at the right time most of the time, so that’s helped me a lot.”
