Puel's Fitness Update: Iborra
- Leicester City will assess Vicente Iborra’s fitness prior to their fixture against Arsenal
- The central midfielder played 45 minutes against West Ham United after a recent hamstring problem
- The Club is also waiting to hear the outcome of Marc Albrighton’s FA charge
Iborra returned to action against West Ham United on Saturday after missing the Foxes’ encounters with Burnley, Southampton and Crystal Palace.
Puel is hoping the Spaniard will be fit to face the Gunners, who visit King Power Stadium for City’s final home game of the season.
Discussing Iborra’s fitness, Puel said: “Iborra came back after just two or three training sessions. We have a lot of injured players and suspension and illness.
I can give the squad but it's not possible to give the team. We wait about Marc [Albrighton] and different players, ill players and injured players
Claude Puel
“Vicente started the game [against West Ham] but for the moment he lacks rhythm and tempo but this is normal.
“He had just two or three training sessions after six weeks out injured so we will see if he can start on Wednesday or not.”
Meanwhile, Puel confirmed the Club is waiting to hear the outcome of Marc Albrighton’s FA charge.
Puel added: “We wait on the decision on Marc. We did not have news and I hope he can be available for Wednesday for Arsenal.
“It is one of the things I have to manage because there are a lot of difficulties. If you ask me what the team will be for Wednesday I could not say.
“I can give the squad but it's not possible to give the team. We wait about Marc and different players, ill players and injured players.
“We will see in the training session tomorrow (Tuesday) and if we can have other players on the bench to participate, we don’t know.”
