Puel: We Have A Fantastic Squad
- Leicester City head to Wolverhampton Wanderers in the Carabao Cup on Tuesday (7:45pm BST kick-off)
- Claude Puel says any new faces in his line-up will be good enough to secure a victory
- The Foxes defeated Wolves 2-0 in the Premier League at King Power Stadium last month

Just four days after Saturday’s 3-1 victory over Huddersfield Town, Puel’s men head to Wolverhampton for a Carabao Cup Third Round tie against Nuno Espírito Santo’s outfit.
While changes to the Foxes line-up are possible, Puel insists that anyone who comes into the side will have the quality required to return to the East Midlands with a victory.
“We will see,” the Foxes boss said. “Of course, we have a good opportunity to maintain a good level in the team on the pitch, but with different players.
“We have a good squad and it’s important to continue in this competition and also important to give some game time to some players, young and experienced.
It will be a difficult game, but we have good players of our own and I am confident in my players.
Claude Puel
“It’s an opportunity for us because we have a fantastic squad and we want to give them game time. I will pick a team with the ability and the quality to win the match.
“If we’re going to be successful in this competition, it will be because of the quality in the squad, because 11 players cannot continue to play every three or four days every week.
“We have players in the squad with quality and experience, young players as well, and I am confident in their quality.
“I am sure we will put in a good performance and I hope for a good performance.”
However, the Frenchman is also acutely aware of the test Wolves are likely to pose for City at Molineux with the newly-promoted side impressing many so far this season – including Puel.

“I am impressed with this team because they play well with a good system,” he added. “It’s a team playing with consistency and they have developed their play.
“They had a good transfer window, so it’s difficult to play against them, because their players are of a good quality.
“It will be a difficult game, but we have good players of our own and I am confident in my players.”
