- Hannah Cain says she is feeling in good shape after making her full debut for the Club against Liverpool
- The forward spoke to LCFC.com ahead of welcoming Crystal Palace to Quorn on Sunday afternoon (2pm kick-off)
- She expects the Eagles to come out fighting after their narrow League Cup defeat by City last week
- The Foxes' current league position will count for nothing if they do not finish the job, Cain adds
Following a lengthy period of almost a year out injured, the 21-year-old is now determined to help LCFC Women maintain their current position and ensure the 2020/21 season is a successful one.
Crystal Palace are the Foxes' next league opponents, who they will welcome to Farley Way Stadium on Sunday (2pm kick-off), with an unbeaten home record to maintain.
Sitting at the Championship's summit after 13 games, Cain credited the team spirit that has emerged within the dressing room as a key component to the excellent form produced so far this term.
"Everyone's absolutely buzzing, the togetherness of the team is brilliant, I've never been in a team like it before," the England Under-21 international revealed, speaking to LCFC.com.
"Obviously we're really excited for every game that comes because we're on such a high at the moment, we've got a lot of confidence, so everyone's just really up for the game.
"Jonathan [Morgan] is very good at reiterating where we are at. We can't think too much about the future. No one has ever won a league in January so we can't get caught up in the moment.
"We're just focusing on whichever game is next and we're not looking too far ahead of that, we're just taking each games as it comes, really."
Cain made her full debut in the weekend win over Liverpool, playing just over an hour of the contest after also featuring against Crystal Palace, three days earlier.
The former Everton forward was delighted to come through both fixtures in good shape and feels ready to attack the remainder of the season head on.
"It was a lot of mixed emotions for me," she admitted. "Obviously I've been with the Club since the start of the season, but it's been very difficult.
"So to finally give back to the Club after all the faith that they've invested in me, was a really nice feeling and I'm excited to give even more now.
"I've got one start under my belt and it's still those first steps for me because I was out for so long, I'm just really happy that I can finally give back.
"I feel really good. The physio at Leicester and my strength and conditioning coach have really helped to get me into the position where I'm able to do that and I'm really thankful to them.
"We had back-to-back games, playing the cup game on the Thursday and then the game on Sunday, so for me to be able to be involved in both the games in such a quick turnaround was really pleasing for me and the staff at Leicester that have helped me along the process."
The Club's first-ever Continental Tyres League Cup Quarter-Final, won in the final minute of normal time at Hayes Lane, was City's second victory over Palace this campaign.
Cain expects the Eagles to come out wanting revenge for their cup exit and says the Foxes must be on top of their game come Sunday.
"It's an amazing feeling," she added, on reaching the Semi-Finals. "The majority of us had never experienced that before so it's a first and even for the manager and the staff, it's something the Club had never achieved.
"To be able to do that in the first season of going professional, at the moment we keep ticking off loads of new things and it's a really nice feeling for us.
"They'll want to beat us anyway because when you're at the top of the league, everyone wants to beat you, so they'll have that and then we knocked them out of the Quarter-Finals when they had chance to create history for themselves.
"So they'll definitely want to get back at us for sure. It'll always be a tricky game against them anyway, but there's a little bit more to it from Palace's side, so it'll be a really good game."
