Three days following a 2-0 success over Israel in Tel Aviv, De rød-hvide made it two wins in two and climbed to the summit of Group F with an impressive performance at MCH Arena.
On his 62nd outing for his country, Schmeichel played from start to finish as goals from Kasper Dolberg (2), Mikkel Damsgaard (2), Jens Stryger Larsen, Mathias Jensen, Robert Skov and Marcus Ingvartsen enabled Kasper Hjulmand's Danes to maintain their 100 per cent start to qualifying.
On Wednesday, their bid to reach the finals in Qatar next year continues with a clash against Austria at Ernst Happel Stadium in Vienna (7:45pm kick-off).
Defender Jonny Evans, on the other hand, did not feature for Northern Ireland in a 2-1 friendly defeat at Windsor Park by the Unites States of America, who had young Foxes shot-stopper Chituru Odunze among their unused substitutes in Belfast.

Giovanni Reyna and Christian Pulisic were among the goals for Gregg Berhalter's USA side, while Niall McGinn got one back for the hosts. Northern Ireland next host Bulgaria in World Cup qualifying on Wednesday (7:45pm kick-off) when Evans could earn his 91st cap for the Green and White Army.
Finally, later in the evening, centre-back Wesley Fofana was unused from the bench as France's Under-21s registered a 2-0 win over Russia in their second Group C fixture of 2021 UEFA U21 EURO qualifying at Haladás Sportkomplexum in Hungary.
Odsonne Edouard and Nanitamo Ikone were on the scoresheet for Les Bleus' youngsters, both netting penalties in the first half. Fofana could, meanwhile, feature in Wednesday's clash with Iceland at Alcufer Stadium (5pm kick-off).
