The Foxes No.4 played from start to finish in Málaga as his country backed up Wednesday's 4-2 win over Netherlands with another impressive 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifying result.

Fenerbahçe's Ozan Tufan opened the scoring for the Crescent-Stars inside four minutes, before Söyüncü doubled their advantage shortly before the half-hour mark with a strong header from a corner for his second goal on the international stage.

Tufan struck again to make it 3-0 to Turkey in the second half before Kristian Thorstvedt was sent off for Norway late on at La Rosaleda Stadium. It is two 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifying Group G wins from two for Söyüncü's nation, who return to Istanbul to take on Latvia on Tuesday night.

Meanwhile, Wilfred Ndidi played the full match and Kelechi Iheanacho completed 69 minutes for Nigeria in their 1-0 2021 CAF Africa Cup of Nations qualification success over Benin.

Genk forward Paul Onuachu’s late goal ended the hosts' eight-year unbeaten record on home soil, and wrapped up first place in Group L for the Super Eagles.

Qualification for Nigeria was confirmed shortly before their fixture at Stade Charles de Gaulle, as Sierra Leone drew 0-0 with Lesotho. The Super Eagles welcome already-eliminated Lesotho to Teslim Balogun Stadium in Lagos for their final qualifying match on Tuesday.

Foxes midfielder Dennis Praet was an unused substitute for the Belgian Red Devils at Sinobo Stadium, who next face Belarus in Group E at King Power at Den Dreef Stadium – the home of OH Leuven.

Finally, goalkeeper Danny Ward remained on the bench for Wales' 1-0 friendly victory over Mexico, with Cardiff City forward Kieffer Moore notching the winner in the Welsh capital.

Ward, who made his 11th appearance for his nation on Wednesday, could feature for the Dragons on Tuesday when they host Czech Republic in another World Cup qualifier.
