Last weekend saw the Foxes lift themselves off of bottom spot in the Barclays Women's Super League, with a 2-1 win over Reading. Things are also starting to heat up in the Barclays Women's Championship as City's loan players look for valuable points at both ends of the table.
Birmingham City currently sit third in the standings with 35 points, and midfielder Charlie Devlin has featured twice in their last three wins, most recently when she played 79 minutes in a 2-1 victory against Southampton. Ashley Hodson scored a 72nd-minute winner after both sides netted from the penalty spot in the first half.
Prior to this positive result, Birmingham beat Coventry United 1-0 as Devlin played little over an hour. Martha Harris scored the only goal 23 minutes in, as fellow Fox loanees Connie Scofield and Ellen Jones both started for the losing side.
Jones lasted until an hour in, and Scofield came off as a late substitute in Coventry's defeat to the Blues, while the latter played a full game in the side's 1-1 draw with Lewes a week later. Amber-Keegan Stobbs opened the scoring for the fifth-placed opponents before Isobel Goodwin equalised 10 minutes before the break, guiding Coventry to their seventh point of the 2022/23 campaign.
Another City player currently forging their way in the Championship is Sophie Barker, who played the entirety of Sheffield United's 3-2 loss to Lewes before picking up a 1-0 win over Bristol City. Courtney Sweetman-Kirk scored in both matches for the Sheffield side, who sit ninth with 18 points.
Further north, Natasha Flint has started to feature more regularly for Celtic and played 90 minutes in their 1-1 draw in the Old Firm derby. Brogan Hay opened the scoring for Rangers but the Hoops equalised late on, in the ninth minute of added time in fact, through Caitlin Hayes.
The following game, Celtic got back to winning ways with a 2-0 display over Partick Thistle. Amy Gallacher broke the deadlock late on in the first half before a 71st-minute own goal from Rosie Slater, leaving Flint's side second in Group A of the second phase of the season, currently one point ahead of rivals Rangers, and eight behind Glasgow City.
The final mention goes to midfielder Monique Robinson, who recently featured for Loughborough Lightning, as she is dual registered between the two Leicestershire sides. The youngster played 85 minutes in a 2-2 draw with Nottingham Forest in mid March.
