Leicester City must keep pushing on following a positive start to the season, according to Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall.

- Leicester City have won their opening four Sky Bet Championship games
- Hull City are the visitors to King Power Stadium on Saturday (3pm kick-off)
- Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall assessed their start to the season and previewed the encounter
- There’s plenty more to come from the Foxes this season, he believes

The Foxes have managed six straight victories across all competitions to kick off 2023/24, four of which have come in the Sky Bet Championship, propelling Enzo Maresca’s side to the top of the standings.

An impressive record to hold, Dewsbury-Hall believes this is just the beginning for the team, with plenty of improvement to come as they continue to adapt to the new Manager’s tactical idea.

“For sure we can’t really ask for a better start, winning six out of six,” the Academy graduate reflected earlier this week. “And personally, I think that’s six without even playing our best stuff yet. We’re still learning the trade with the new gaffer.

The fact that everyone is contributing at the moment is a positive. We’re getting goals from all different areas, so long may it continue.

“So the fact that we’re winning games when we’re still right at the start of our journey is a positive. I’m very positive going into the game and hoping to make it seven out of seven before the international break.”

That next challenge comes in the form of Hull City, who visit King Power Stadium on Saturday (3pm kick-off). The Tigers, another team undergoing a summer of transition, sit eighth having won two and drawn one of their opening league fixtures.

The midfielder continued: “The gaffer has told us that it will be a tough game. They’ve made some good signings and they’ve got good players who can handle the ball. They try and play football.

“I feel, like a lot of teams this season, they are going to want to come to Leicester and put on a good performance to try and win the game.

“We just need to be prepared for that, which we are doing in training, with how we want to press, how we want to play, and putting all that together is hopefully going to give us a good result.”

Last time out in the league, meanwhile, City managed to come away from Rotherham United with a 2-1 victory, courtesy of Kasey McAteer’s brace. A day to remember for the youngster, the moment is one that Dewsbury-Hall himself can relate to.

“It was lovely,” the 24-year-old added. “It’s always nice to not only see an Academy graduate play, but score important goals as well, so it must have been a great feeling for him, in fact I know it would have been a good feeling because I’ve felt it myself.

“The fact that everyone is contributing at the moment is a positive. We’re getting goals from all different areas, so long may it continue.”
