Now eliminated from the Carabao Cup, after a 3-1 loss to Liverpool, City could get back to their day job, and focus on the league. October started in excellent fashion as four goals on the road from Wout Faes, Jamie Vardy, Kelechi Iheanacho and Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall sent them on their way to a 4-1 win over Blackburn Rovers; Sammie Szmodics scoring for the hosts.

The victories kept coming with back-to-back wins at King Power Stadium as they dispatched Preston North End and Stoke City in the space of four days. Dewsbury-Hall was back to his best, making it three from two, with a brace, as Iheanacho was starting to gain momentum with a goal of his own in the 3-0 display against the Lilywhites.

The Nigerian international then opened the scoring against the Potters before being substituted on 77 minutes for Vardy. It took City's No.9 just 120 seconds to confirm the win in a game which saw Leicester hold 74 per cent possession, tallying up 12 shots to Stoke's two.

Despite a two week absence from the pitch, the month was far from over, and the Leicester train kept moving in the right direction with a 3-1 win in Wales against Swansea City. Matt Grimes may have opened the scoring but confidence was flowing for the Foxes, as Jannik Vestergaard, Abdul Fatawu and Iheanacho confirmed all three points.

Three days later and Leicester were back winning in the East Midlands, this time against Sunderland. A lone goal from James Justin in the first half was enough to beat the Black Cats, before City rounded off the month with a 2-1 win against Queens Park Rangers in the capital; we all know how this one ends.

Stephy Mavididi broke the deadlock but the scores were level at half-time thanks to an Andre Dozzell equaliser for the hosts. Forcing QPR to dig deep inside their own half, it was going to take something special to claim a winner - up stepped Harry Winks. Curling an effort into the far corner from outside the box, the roof on the away end was lifted at MATRADE Loftus Road.

Dewsbury-Hall had to act as the voice of reason, bringing everyone back to reality and onto the field of play to see out the three points - a Club record-equalling ninth consecutive league win and outright Club record sixth away victory in a row. Things were looking good for Leicester, but it wasn't going to be completely smooth-sailing.
