- Wilfred Ndidi looks to the positives after a 1-0 friendly reverse at Wolves
- The Nigerian international midfielder says his pre-season is shaping up nicely
- Leicester City next face Burton Albion at Pirelli Stadium on Tueday (7:45pm KO)
Ndidi returned to the starting line-up for a 1-0 defeat by Wolverhampton Wanderers at Molineux on Saturday and the Nigerian international felt the benefit of another run-out for the Foxes.
A special 59th minute effort from Ivan Cavaleiro was all that separated the sides in the Black Country.
Ndidi told LCFC TV: “We are quite sad because although it is just pre-season, we have to look at our mistakes. It will only get better. [The summer has] been great, we’re training hard.
"We’ll look at our mistakes and continue to prepare for this coming season.”
On his partnership with Danny Drinkwater, the powerful midfielder added: “It’s coming on. Anybody can play in that position. I will say that it’s a collective team effort.
"Everybody needs to do his best in his position.”
Ahead of the trip to face Burton Albion at Pirelli Stadium on Tuesday night (7:45pm kick-off), Ndidi called for focus from his team-mates as City’s pre-season continues to roll on at a frantic pace.
“We just need to keep working and focus,” he added.
“Everybody needs to be at his best. It’s been okay, the fitness level is coming up. We hope before the start of the season everything will be okay.”
