The Foxes travel north to face the Sky Bet League 2 outfit at Brunton Park on Tuesday evening (7:45pm kick-off) hoping to secure their first Northern Group A victory of the campaign.
City, one of 16 clubs to have been invited to enter a side into the competition, have been placed alongside Fleetwood Town, Carlisle and Morecambe.
Managed by Steve Beaglehole, Leicester reached the knockout round last year after a group stage campaign which included a 1-0 victory over Grimsby Town at Blundell Park.

Admission to the ground is by ticket only. Fans arriving on the day can purchase a ticket from the main ticket office on the west side of the ground from 5:30pm.
By car
Brunton Park (postcode CA1 1LL) is served by the nearby M6 motorway. Fans travelling by car or coach should leave at junction 43 (A69) and head west.
The main supporters’ car park is situated on the right and is on the east side of the ground. The entrance to this is at the third set of traffic lights, having left the motorway, opposite the Foreways store.
Parking charges are £2.50 for cars, £10 for mini buses and £15 for coaches.
By train
For those arriving at Carlisle Railway Station, the ground is roughly a 20-minute walk away.
Leave the station and walk straight ahead to the crescent, follow this round to the left and turn right to reach Warwick Road.
Warwick Road leads to the ground, which you will see on the left.
Where to go
City supporters will be situated in the Pioneer East Stand, Section 5.
Enter via the turnstiles at the southern end of the stadium. The concourse will be open from 6.30pm where the bar and catering facility in the concourse will be available.
The supporters’ coaches will be parked adjacent to the Pioneer East Stand.
Supporters with disabilities
There are four wheelchair spaces with seats for carers at the north east corner of the Petteril End of the stadium, adjacent to the away fans.
