Checkatrade Trophy Preview: Foxes Travel To Carlisle
The Under-23s have made a magnificent start to their Premier League 2 campaign, sitting fourth in the early standings, but lost 3-0 to Fleetwood Town last month in the EFL Trophy.
City, one of 16 clubs to have been invited to enter a side into the competition, have been placed alongside Fleetwood Town, Carlisle and Morecambe in Northern Group A.
Ahead of the 7:45pm kick-off at Brunton Park on Tuesday night, here are five things you need to know…
Carlisle in focus

Keith Curle's Cumbrians sit 14th in the fourth tier with four wins, two draws and five loses to their name so far this season.
Meanwhile, following a 2-0 victory over Morecame in August, Carlisle will also be looking for their second success in the Checkatrade Trophy on Tuesday evening.

Hughes has settled in quickly to life at the Club.
He told LCFC TV: “It was always going to be different for me, coming from Chester. I’ve been adapting to the tactical side of it.
“I’m loving it here, I’m fortunate that I’m playing. I’ll just keep putting in good performances and try to keep my place in the team.”
Petty’s thoughts
Development Squad coach Ben Petty has looked ahead to the clash at Brunton Park, saying he expects another considerable challenge for the Club’s young stars.
Petty Elated With Cup Victory
Ben Petty spoke to LCFC TV after his side's 3-0 win over Hertha Berlin in the Premier League International Cup.
“It will be a test. We will be without our four international players [Johnson, George Thomas, Alex Pascanu and Daniel Iversen], so it enables other lads to come into the team.”
On the Hertha result, he added: “This International Cup allows you to pay at the stadiums against foreign opposition and we have all enjoyed it. We’re delighted with their progress.”
