- Wes Morgan continues to make progress in his return from a hamstring injury, Claude Puel says
- The Leicester City captain is likely to miss Wednesday's Premier League clash at Everton
- Puel made 10 changes at Peterborough on Saturday, for a 5-1 FA Cup victory
Following the 5-1 victory over Peterborough United in the Emirates FA Cup Fourth Round, Puel was delighted to see a side including 10 changes perform so well at the ABAX Stadium.
New recruit Fousseni Diabaté and Kelechi Iheanacho scored braces for the Foxes while Wilfred Ndidi also found the net against the Sky Bet League 1 outfit.
As preparations continue for the Premier League clash against Sam Allardyce’s men, Puel says his squad is close to full fitness.
Morgan, who was forced off with a hamstring complaint during the 3-0 success over Huddersfield Town on New Year’s Day, is likely to be the only absentee on Merseyside.
“No problems,” he confirmed. “Just Morgan, [but] it is not a problem. It is a good feeling. He came on the pitch [in training] and I hope he can start more training sessions with the squad.”
