Albrighton: Confidence Is Flowing
- Marc Albrighton says Leicester City will be aiming to continue their fine run of form against Everton on Wednesday (7:45pm kick-off)
- Claude Puel’s men are yet to be beaten in 2018 and defeated Peterborough United 5-1 last time out
- Albrighton praised City’s forward players for their clinical finishing against the League 1 side
Since the turn of the year, the Foxes have conceded just once and have scored 13 times in the process to record four victories.
Their last outing – a 5-1 triumph over Peterborough United – proved to be their biggest win of the season and, for Albrighton, that will provide a huge boost ahead of their trip to Goodison Park.
“It’ll be a tough game,” Albrighton told LCFC TV. “Every time you come up against a Sam Allardyce team, it’s always going to be a tough ask. We know what we’re going to be up against.
“They’re not only physical, they’ve got some fantastic footballers in their ranks now. It’s going to be a tough game at a stadium that’s renowned for being hard to go to.

Marc Albrighton is embraced by Demarai Gray after scoring City's third against Huddersfield on New Year's Day.
“It’s very tight, it’s on you and the fans are close to you so there’s not much space out there but we’re going there full of confidence.
“Coming off the back of a 5-1 win against anyone will breed confidence throughout the squad and it’ll do that throughout ours.
“We’re looking forward to it. We’re on a good run of form at the moment in both the league and the cup so it’ll be an exciting one.”
Albrighton, who came on in the second period at the ABAX Stadium, lauded the ruthlessness of City’s attackers on Saturday, as Kelechi Iheanacho and Fousseni Diabaté both bagged a brace each.
The lads up top were tremendous, putting the chances away when we got them and the lads at the back were solid as you need to be in them games.

He reflected: “We knew we had to get off to a good start at Peterborough and the lads did that. We got the goals early on and that gave us a good platform to go and play the rest of the game.
“The boys were fantastic. The lads up top were tremendous, putting the chances away when we got them and the lads at the back were solid as you need to be in them games.
“You can’t let the other side in because as soon as you do, the fans will turn and the atmosphere will turn and it will get hard.”
