During Ava Baker’s maiden campaign in a City shirt, the 16-year-old winger made four appearances for the Foxes – two of which came in the Barclays Women’s Super League – and she now makes the leap into full-time football with LCFC Women.
Her senior debut arrived as a starter in the FA Women's Continental Tyres League Cup against Manchester City on 12 January, 2022, just three days after turning 16.
She then featured in the Women's FA Cup for the first time later that month, coming off the bench during the win at Tottenham Hotspur, before her first WSL appearance versus Reading at King Power Stadium on 1 May, 2022.
The midfielder also enjoyed success with LCFC Women's WSL Academy Team in 2021/22, receiving Player of the Match in the final of the WSL Academy League Plate Final, as the Foxes beat Arsenal to claim silverware.
Regularly part of the matchday squad, her first appearance in 2022/23 came in the Continental Tyres League Cup victory over Blackburn Rovers on 2 October, 2022.
The No.32 also holds the record as the Foxes' youngest ever goalscorer, when she netted in Leicester's 5-0 League Cup victory against Sunderland, where she was given the nod to start at Eppleton Colliery Welfare Ground two days after her 17th birthday.
On the international stage, meanwhile, Baker has been a regular feature in the England youth teams, making her international debut for the Under-17s against Norway, before a first goal for her country against Poland Under-17s.
