The 24-year-old signed a two-year-deal with the Foxes following two seasons in Sweden’s top-flight, where she made 57 appearances in all competitions.
Born in Köyliö, Rantala started her career with NiceFutis in 2014, and netted 10 goals in her first senior season before switching to Turun Palloseura Naiset one year later.
Spells with FC Honka, HJK and Kristianstads DFF followed before the exciting forward moved to Vittsjö GIK in 2022, where she spent the last two seasons.
Rantala has a wealth of winning experience under her belt having won Kansallinen Liiga title and Finish Women's Cup double in 2019 during her time with HJK.
Internationally, Rantala made her Finland debut during the Cyprus Cup in 2020 and has since gone on to make a further 30 appearances for her country on the world stage.
She made her City debut as a substitute in the opening day victory of the 23/24 season against Bristol City, claiming the Player of the Match award with two goals and an assist from the bench.
