The 28-year-old made the move to King Power Stadium following the conclusion of her contract with Linköping and signed an 18-month deal in Leicestershire after spending three productive years in Sweden’s top-flight.
Born in New York City, Momiki started her career with Japanese top flight outfit Nippon Tokyo Verdy Beleza in 2009 and would go on to represent the team more than 150 times during an 11-year association with the club.
A spell with National Women’s Soccer League outfit OL Reign followed in 2020 before she joined Linköping FC on two successive loan spells – eventually making the move permanent for the 2022 campaign.
Momiki brings a wealth of winning experience to Belvoir Drive having won the AFC Women's Club Championship in 2019 and further bolsters the international contingent now representing the Football Club.
Internationally, 2017 saw Momiki selected for the Japanese national team for the first time as her country competed in the Algarve Cup. Her inaugural year competing on the world stage saw the striker return six goals from 21 games.
She come off the bench for Leicester during their 4-0 win against Derby County in the Adobe Women's FA Cup before earning her first start a week later in January at Pirelli Stadium, in a 1-0 loss to Aston Villa in the WSL.
Her first goal, meanwhile, came in a home victory over Bristol City, when the Japanese forward find the net from a tight angle, outside the box, announcing herself in front of the Foxes faithful.
