Brendan Rodgers’ men are due to travel to Etihad Stadium for an 8pm BST kick-off in a clash which could have enormous permutations for the Premier League’s final standings.
A win for the Foxes, who beat Arsenal 3-0 last time out, could potentially see them move up to seventh position, while three points for Pep Guardiola’s side will nudge them closer to the title.
Ahead of what promises to be a thrilling evening, Ricardo, who scored against Manchester City in a 2-1 win at King Power Stadium back in December, says confidence is key to their chances.
Build On Arsenal Success, Says Ricardo
Ricardo Pereira says Leicester City's confidence is high as they prepare to tackle Manchester City on Monday.
“Yes, of course - it’s always important to win a big game against Arsenal with our fans in our stadium,” he told LCFC TV. “It’s always good and it gives us confidence for the next game.
“I think it says we have a good group, we have quality. If we play our best with our qualities, we play together as well. We can do good things and win games against the top six.”
However, Ricardo also says that Leicester expect Manchester City to pose a completely different challenge to the one which they presented back in December.
It will be for sure a different game [to December's 2-1 win]. I think even more difficult than the other one. I think they weren’t in a good phase at the time, now they are much better. It will be very hard.

The champions are within touching distance of securing a second successive Premier League title and know that a duo of wins from their remaining two fixtures will seal that achievement.
When they visited Leicester over Christmas, Manchester City had lost their previous fixture, but they head into Monday’s showdown on the back of 12 consecutive successes.
For Ricardo, this is evidence that the clash could be incredibly tough for the Foxes – boosting their motivation to spring a surprise.
The Portugal international added: “Yes, it would not be bad to do it again and get the same result and scoring again!
“It will be for sure a different game. I think even more difficult than the other one. I think they weren’t in a good phase at the time, now they are much better. It will be very hard.”
