The Foxes concluded last season in positive form and Brendan Rodgers' men also went unbeaten in pre-season ahead of Sunday's opener against Wolverhampton Wanderers (2pm BST kick-off).
Speaking on the eve of the new top-flight campaign, Evans, 31, revealed that City have confidence in their ability to swiftly secure their first victory of the 2019/20 season.
"I think everyone’s really looking forward to it now," he told LCFC TV at Belvoir Drive on Thursday morning. "We’ve done all of our pre-season work, all the fitness work’s in the legs.
"We’ve got some good results along the way, which I think can give us confidence going into the first game.
We know it’s going to be difficult. Everyone’s got that same ambition to start the season early and well, so we’ve just got to make sure we’re up for it and ready for it.

"Winning and momentum, it all becomes a habit and the way we finished last season was really good, certain aspects of it, and we could see that we were improving as a team.
"I think that’s why everyone was so looking forward to getting back into pre-season and getting started.
"We didn’t want the season to end when it did last year because we felt like we were improving, so hopefully we can carry that through to the start of this season."
Last week, City defeated Atalanta in their final pre-season friendly of the summer - and Evans believes the squad can take a lot from the experience.

"Atalanta are are a very good side going into the Champions League this year, and I thought we put on a great performance that night," he continued.
"There’s things in the game that we know we can improve on, but once we settled in, I felt like we controlled the game and felt really good in that.
"We know it’s going to be difficult. Everyone’s got that same ambition to start the season early and well, so we’ve just got to make sure we’re up for it and ready for it."
